Problems With Your UV Flatbed Printer? Signs You Need A New One

If your UV flatbed printer is acting up, it might be time for a replacement. UV printers are an important addition to any office. One of the benefits of a UV flatbed printer is that they're long-lasting. They do need proper maintenance though. But, even with the best maintenance, UV printers do wear out from time to time. This is especially true when they're used on a daily basis. If you haven't replaced your UV printer in a few years, read the list provided below. Here are four signs it's time to replace your UV printer.

Abnormal Water Cycle

If your UV printer makes a loud beep whenever you open the water tank, it's time to take a closer look. There are a couple of reasons why your printer would make the beeping noise. One reason is that the water tank is empty. Overheating can be another reason for the beeping. If the beeping continues after checking for those issues, it's time to invest in a new UV flatbed printer.

Visible Print Ghosting

If you see ghosting in your printed documents, the first thing you should do is clean the grating strip. A dirty grating strip can cause ghosting to appear on printed pages. If that doesn't fix the problem, there could be an issue with the cable or the fiber line. If replacing those components doesn't get rid of the problem, you'll need to replace your UV flatbed printer. Ghosting can occur when UV flatbed printers wear out from overuse.

UV Light Malfunction

If the light on your UV flatbed printer has malfunctioned, it's time to check the light control setting. It's possible that the light control has gotten turned off. If that's the case, you can fix it through the operating software. But, if that's not the issue, your printer could have a bigger problem. If you can't reset the light control, you'll need to replace your UV flatbed printer.

Color Abnormalities

If your UV flatbed printer has some color abnormalities, you might need a new printer. Some color abnormalities include stripes, scattered ink dots, and color deviations. When you're printing business documents, you can't afford to have color abnormalities. If adjustments don't fix the color problems, it's time to replace your UV flatbed printer.

Don't take chances with your business documents. If you're dealing with any of the issues described here, don't settle for printing problems. Invest in a new commercial UV flatbed printer for your office.
